Brief Description: CEDES/HABITAT is a development organization focused on improving the rural habitat of indigenous communities for the purpose of preventing the spreading of Chagas and other infectious diseases in the region. Through infrastructure, productive capacity development for rural women and the improvement of indigenous settlements in the Chamacoco, Puerto Caballo and María Elena districts the organization has managed to intervene successfully within 47 settlements across the country creating a total of 1550 new functional homes for these poor communities.
