Field of Action: Environmental Sustainability
Brief Description: CEDIA focuses on developing strategies, plans, actions and development programmes for indigenous communities living in the Peruvian Amazonas region with the direct involvement of these groups. The goal is to achieve institutional and economic sustainability through the rational use of their natural resources. The Putumayo Project is an example of these efforts where the organization is contributing to the conservation of the Putumayo River and all of its ecologic system. Other projects focus on the participation of native communities in managing and protecting the tropical forests and natural reserves of the Amazonas.
